ONtario Virtual HOrse Show Series

OVHSS is an affordable virtual schooling show series. Our goal is to help keep horse showing affordable while offering feedback from our judges for each participant in a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. We welcome sponsors, suggestions and all comments as we continue to learn and grow in 2024.

dressage video requirements

Here are the video requirements.  Those riders that do not follow these will be placed under those that do.  Any questions should be directed to ontariovirtualhorseshows@gmail.com

1 - Whoever is running the camera needs to stand at C.  They are the judge.  They need to be close to the ring - as in at least 2m from the rail - like a judges booth would be!  They need to be on the center line!

2 - The ENTIRE HORSE AND RIDER need to be in the frame at all times.  This means no cutting off anyone's head or legs.  This goes for all disciplines!

3 - The video needs to include the horse and rider LEAVING THE RING after the final halt.  This is on each test and is a movement so if omitted could mean error of course.

4 - Both sides of the ring should be visible most of the time.  We don't need super zoom which then means no one can tell where the horse is in relation to the ring.  You many need to zoom a small bit to the far end and you should pan the camera to follow the horse and rider into the corners close to C.  No zooming out!

5 -  Sound on at all times!  No need to introduce yourself if you don't want to, but I do need you to email me the information about the test so that you can be entered in the correct test!  We should be able to hear the wind, birds, horse's movements, etc through the whole test!

6 - Film in the horizontal aspect.  This means turn your phone on its side, not like you are shooting for instagram!!

REMEMBER - THE JUDGE CAN ONLY MARK WHAT THEY CAN SEE!!!
