Welcome to Ontario Virtual Horse Show Series Western Classes!

We’re excited to have you join us for our virtual horse show, featuring a variety of Western disciplines! Below, you’ll find information on the classes we’re offering, as well as the prizelists and patterns for each event. Whether you’re showcasing your horse’s smooth gaits in Western Pleasure, navigating obstacles in Trail, or speeding through the barrels in Barrel Racing, we’ve got something for every equestrian enthusiast.

Western Pleasure, Ranch and Trail Classes

The Western Pleasure class highlights the calm, smooth, and relaxed demeanor of a well-trained western horse. Competitors will be judged on their horse’s consistency in gait, conformation, and overall performance. These are great classes for those who enjoy the elegance and tradition of Western riding.  Trail classes test a horse’s ability to navigate a series of obstacles, simulating real-world challenges. Judges look for precision, calmness, and willingness as horses move through various maneuvers. Trail is perfect for those who enjoy a combination of training and versatility.

Barrel Racing

Barrel Racing is fast-paced and exciting! This timed event requires both horse and rider to navigate three barrels in a cloverleaf pattern as quickly as possible, showcasing agility and speed. It’s a thrilling class for those who love action and competition.
